Chinese Language and Culture Learning & Experience Program
The Chinese Language and Culture Learning & Experience Program at TSU is designed for international students who are interested in Chinese language and culture, including a series of educational and project-based activities or practices related to Chinese language learning and Chinese traditional culture experience. The program aims to enhance the students’ knowledge of Chinese culture, strengthen their learning of Chinese language, and cultivate ambassadors for cross-cultural communication. Program students work in groups to practice cross-cultural communication, teamwork skills, leadership, critical thinking, Chinese language skills, and cultural diversity.
Courses offered based on the students’ Chinese level; customized course schedules for groups are provided.
A. Chinese language learning courses
Speaking, Listening, Grammar, Reading and Writing; HSK tutorial.
B. Cultural experience projects
Chinese Culture, Chinese Calligraphy, Chinese Painting, Tai Chi, Paper Cutting, and mountaineering activities etc.
Culture and Society (Chinese history and culture, social customs, social development, traditional festivals and ceremonies)
Spring term: Feb. to July;
Autumn term: Sept. to Jan.
International students can choose one-semester or two-semester Chinese language learning program. And they have an opportunity to apply for the Presidential Scholar Ships offered by the university if meeting the relevant requirements.
